Overview

Inputs represent video or image files uploaded to the API. Each Input belongs to a Project and goes through validation and indexing before it can be queried.
Images only go through validation.

Lifecycle

An Input progresses through the following states upon upload:

Re-uploading an existing filename within a Project overwrites the Input and restarts validation and indexing. indexed resets to false until processing completes.

Access control

Inputs belong to a Project. All Users in a Project share access to its Inputs. Specify the project when creating an Input using the custom HTTP header:

  • File extensions: mp4, MP4, avi, AVI, mkv, MKV, webm, WEBM
  • MIME/ContentType must start with video/
  • Filenames: alphanumeric + ! - _ . * ' ( ) only. No path separators.
  • File extensions: jpg, JPG, jpeg, JPEG, png, PNG
  • MIME/ContentType: image/jpeg, image/png, image/x-png
  • Filenames: alphanumeric + ! - _ . * ' ( ) only. No path separators.

Deletion

Deleting an Input also deletes its associated Queries.
